Marty Kuhn named Chief Executive Officer

CINCINNATI, OH — June 23, 2026 — Mike Albert Fleet Solutions, one of the nation’s Top 10 fleet management companies, today named Marty Kuhn as Chief Executive Officer following a unanimous vote of its board of directors. Kuhn, who has served as President since 2022, will retain that title. The appointment marks a milestone for the company, as Kuhn becomes the first non-family CEO in its history. Its namesake, Mike Albert, founded the business in 1928, and the Betagole family has owned and led it for more than six decades. John Betagole, a second-generation owner and the company’s most recent CEO, was also voted Chairman of the board this morning and will continue to serve in that capacity. Mike Albert Fleet Solutions will remain family-owned.
“Marty has earned our family’s confidence over the last four years, so this is a natural next step rather than a new direction,” said Betagole. “He’s brought a CFO and operator’s lens to our business and sharpened the data-driven, consultative approach our clients rely on. His future-focused leadership has earned the trust of our team and our clients alike, and our family couldn’t be more confident in where he’s taking us.”
The Next Generation of Fleet Management
Kuhn’s appointment reflects a deliberate evolution in how Mike Albert serves the fleet industry. During Kuhn’s tenure as President, the company has embraced what it calls “the next generation of fleet management.” Clients increasingly seek more than vehicles; they seek a partner who can help manage the full operating complexity of their fleets, controlling cost, protecting uptime, improving utilization, and planning further ahead across the life of every vehicle. Under Kuhn’s leadership, Mike Albert has broadened the services clients adopt across maintenance, fuel, telematics, and other fleet operating needs; expanded its work-ready upfitting so vehicles arrive configured for the jobs they are built to do; and strengthened the data foundation that helps client teams identify key decision points earlier in a vehicle’s life cycle. In fact, clients are increasingly turning to Mike Albert for services beyond leasing, with adoption of those solutions nearly tripling—deepening both the value clients receive and the data behind every fleet decision
“I’m honored to lead a company with this legacy and this team,” said Kuhn. “My job is to honor what generations of the Betagole family and our associates have built, while making sure we keep getting better. One of my guiding beliefs is that what got us here won’t get us there. Fleet management is only getting more complex, and our clients deserve a partner who knows their fleet and helps them act before a problem becomes a disruption.”
Steady Hands, Faster Pace
Since taking the helm as President in 2022, Kuhn has doubled down on Mike Albert’s investment in people, financial discipline, and technology, including enhancements to its OverDrive™ fleet management platform such as Single Sign-On and expanded API integrations. The platform connects fleet data and supports the consultative guidance the company’s partnership teams provide—reflecting Mike Albert’s belief that the best fleet decisions are found at the intersection of strong data and human expertise honed over decades. The company is also investing in AI-enabled capabilities designed to surface timely insights and simplify day-to-day fleet decision-making, complementing—not replacing—the expertise of its client partnership teams.
“Technology should make a partnership sharper and faster, never replace it,” Kuhn explained. “If OverDrive is the experience layer and the data foundation is the intelligence layer, then our client partnership team is the advisory layer.”
Kuhn joined Mike Albert Fleet Solutions in 2022 after a career spanning nearly two decades in consumer finance and fintech. He previously served as president of SmartPay in Cincinnati, where he led a shift toward e-commerce and digital growth and helped secure more than $3 billion in capital. He serves on multiple local executive committees, including the Cincinnati Regional Business Committee, and mentors small-business owners and entrepreneurs. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters. For more about Marty, view his leadership bio.
